AppStacks Canvas is based on the Joomla! Content Management System Platform. In Joomla websites, every page is made of:

• Template
• Menu(s)
• Modules (optionally)
• Articles or Components

Let's talk about each one of these separately:

Templates

AppStacks Canvas comes pre-installed with different professional looking templates. You can pick which template you prefer, and for each template, you can select color schemes that better match your branding. In the admin area, go to "Extensions -> Template Manager".

Templates define the "positions" for publishing content. Templates included in your AppStacks Canvas application share the same position names so you can safely swtich between templates and all your content will still be displayed correctly.

You can also download and install more templates to your site, and modify the template or your modules to match the position names defined by the new template.

Menus

Menus define the strcuture and navigation of you site. Every site has a "Main Menu" and optionally other side menus for alternate navigation or for functions specific for registered users. You can review your pre-installed menus and menu options from the admin area, "Menus" menu option.

Modules

Modules are the blocks of content in your site and are distinctively separate from your main content area. For example, a module may appear to the left, right, above, or below your main article content. The Module Manager allows you to customize each module to your preference.

Articles

Articles are the actual entries for content of your site. Most of the time, each page will display an article, that can be your home page article, a blog entry, a news article, etc. Articles can be organized into Sections and Categories, and they can be managed from the admin area, "Articles -> Article Manager".

Components

Components provide extra and specialized functionality to your site. AppStacks Canvas comes loaded with several components already installed to give you access to pretty much everything: Blogs, Forums, Community, Forms, E-commerce, Documents, Directories, and much more.
