The Ad Manager component that comes installed in AppStacks Canvas is pre-loaded with some basic information to help you get started.

When setting up your new site, first you will need to create the Ad Modules and place them in the desired template positions. In order to do that, follow the steps below:
  1. Login to the admin interface
  2. Go to "Extensions > Module Manager" and click "New"
  3. Select the "Ad Banner" type and click "Next"
  4. Enter a name and select the position you want your ad published to and "Save"
You will need to create one module for each ad placement you want in your site.

The next step is to define which "Ad Groups" will be mapped to each Module created. You can create Groups by going to "Components > Ad Manager > Groups". When inserting a new Group, the available modules (that you previously created) will be automatically included for you to pick from.

Now you can just create your ads and map them to respective Group you want them to appear. You can create Ads by going to "Components > Ad Manager > Ad Manager". When inserting a new Ad, the available groups (that you previously created) will be automatically included for you to pick from.

When creating an Ad, you can either select an existing image in the server and a static URL to link to, or you can use 3rd party ad code, such as Google AdSense.

Please refer to the ads already included in your Canvas installation for reference and examples.
